MANILA, Philippines -- (UPDATE 1) Ateneo head coach Bo Perasol had to be restrained after nearly confronting a heckler at the end of the UAAP Season 76 game between the Blue Eagles and the Green Archers Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.

Eyewitnesses said that on his way to the Ateneo dugout, Perasol tried to confront the heckler sitting at the La Salle side of the patron section, and had to be restrained by his assistants and Araneta Center bouncers.

The heckler, reportedly a La Salle supporter, was escorted out by the Araneta bouncers.

"Sabi ko, hindi tama sa akin. Baka akala niya siguro player ako na pwede niyang sigaw-sigawan," said Perasol in an interview with ABS-CBNnews.com.

Perasol said he does not know who the heckler was.

Perasol said he does not believe all La Sallians acted in that manner.

The UAAP Board may review the incident, but Perasol said that if he is suspended, the board will have to hear his side.

"Ang importante, they also have to protect those na kasama sa stakeholders," Perasol said. "Pwede ba naman 'yun, na 'yung pumunta magmumura-mura? Hindi pwede sa akin."

"Suspendihin nila ako, I don't think that's going to be right.

Perasol's Blue Eagles lost to the Green Archer, 64-66. It was the first time since 2001 that Ateneo was swept by La Salle in the elimination round.
