MANILA, Philippines – Ateneo de Manila’s reserve center JP Erram has been suspended for one game after UAAP Commissioner Ato Badolato reviewed the tape of the game between the Blue Eagles and the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws.

In that game, which the Blue Eagles won 77-64, Erram was seen kicking FEU’s Carl Bryan Cruz in the second quarter.

The foul was not called during the game, but Badolato decided to upgrade the infraction into an unsportsmanlike foul.

It was the second unsportsmanlike foul on Erram this season, which warrants a one-game suspension.

Erram will thus not be available for Ateneo’s second round clash against fierce rivals De La Salle next Saturday.
