MANILA -- University of the Philippines head coach Rey Madrid was thrown out of their game against the University of Santo Tomas after incurring two technical fouls in the first quarter.
Madrid was called for his first technical with 17.7 seconds to go in the period when he entered the court without permission while complaining about an alleged non-call on a UP fastbreak.
The coach - who had already been suspended for two games earlier this season for making point-shaving allegations - kept complaining, however, and jumped up and down the sideline while screaming.
He was immediately assessed for a second technical foul and thrown out.
The Maroons are currently down 49-50 against the Growling Tigers.
