'Kid Kulafu' to show Pacquiao's early years

MANILA, Philippines – A new film about the life of 8-division champion Manny Pacquiao is currently being shot in General Santos City.

The movie titled “Kid Kulafu” focuses on Pacquio’s early beginnings as a budding fighter.

It is being produced by Ten17P, the movie production studio of director Paul Soriano.

“The film focuses on how he grew up, the challenges and the things he needs to face before becoming a world champion,” said Soriano.

Former child star Buboy Villar will portray the young Pacquiao, while Alessandra de Rossi will take the role of Mommy Dionisia.

Meanwhile, multi-awarded actor Cesar Montano will act as Pacquiao’s father, Rosalio.

“Ito po ang kwento ni Manny Pacquiao na hindi pa naikwento o ang untold story ni Manny. Dapat nyo pong panoorin ang Kid Kulafu,” said Montano.
