MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Azkals have scheduled a friendly game against Bahrain as they prepare for the AFF Suzuki Cup this November.
The Azkals will battle Bahrain’s Al-Ahmar (The Red) on October 12 at the latter’s turf in Manama, according to ASEAN Football.
The Philippine squad is expected to have a tough challenge against Al-Ahmar, who are ranked 102nd in the world.
The Azkals are currently at No. 150 at the FIFA world rankings.
The Philippines had wanted to play a rematch against Indonesia in Jakarta, but their football associations have failed to agree on a suitable date.
Indonesia held the Azkals to a 2-2 draw last June.
