MANILA, Philippines – Gilas Pilipinas suffered two blows on Wednesday as they lost to the Basque National Team, 75-66, in a tune-up game in Spain that also saw guard Jayson Castro suffer an ankle injury.

Gilas were coming off huge losses to Australia and Ukraine in a small tournament in France and were seeking a boost against Euskadi, but came away with their fourth consecutive defeat.

It remains to be seen how serious Castro's injury is.

Naturalized center Andray Blatche, who did not play in Gilas' game against Ukraine, led the team with 19 points, while Marc Pingris added 10 points and nine rebounds.

Jimmy Alapag had nine points while Gabe Norwood and LA Tenorio scored seven each.

Gilas plays another tune-up game Thursday against Angola.
