MANILA, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao reportedly wanted to visit his boxing rival, Floyd Mayweather Jr., in jail when the time the American was serving his sentence in Las Vegas.

Mayweather’s father, Floyd Sr., said he had a short chat with the Filipino boxer about the planned visit when Pacquiao was training for his bout against Timothy Bradley last June.

"Pacquiao told me he wanted to see little Floyd, when little Floyd was in jail. Pacquiao did, right in front of the Top Rank gym,” Floyd Sr. told on The Ropes Boxing Radio.

“I guess he was training over there and he told me that he wanted to do see little Floyd in jail.”

Mayweather was sentenced to three months in jail for pleading guilty of a misdemeanor domestic battery case. He was released from the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas after only two months for good behavior.

Pacquiao apparently asked Floyd Sr. if he had access to Mayweather in jail.

“He said he did not know if he could get in or not, and I told him I did not know if I could get in either. So that was the last time I seen Pacquiao," the elder Mayweather said.

There was no report if Pacquiao was able to push through with the planned visit.

The Filipino champion earlier said he has been praying to help Mayweather get through his ordeal in jail. “I’m treating him as my friend, my brother. I’m praying for him, that all things will be fine for him,” he said.
