MANILA, Philippines – Adamson coach Kenneth Duremdes will miss the Soaring Falcons' game against the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws in the UAAP men's basketball tournament on Wednesday.

The game, which will be their last in the first round of eliminations, is scheduled to take place at 4 p.m. at the Araneta Coliseum.

The league said in a statement that former PBA player flew to Bahrain to attend to "important family matters."

“Assistant coach Vince Hizon will momentarily take over,” the league said.

Adamson is looking to end the first round with a victory. It has yet to win after 6 games.

The Falcons bowed, 64-77, to the University of the Philippines on Saturday.

It was the Fighting Maroons' first win since August 19, 2012.

After the game, Duremdes was quoted as saying that UP was obviously the hungrier team.

"Halos lamang pa kami (sa stats) – rebounds, assists," he said. "But again, it will go down doon kung sino talaga ang gusto manalo, who wants it more, and tonight, this game, UP wants it more than us. That's all I can say."
