MANILA, Philippines – The Mexican foe of up-and-coming super bantamweight fighter Genesis Servania said he has enough experience and courage to beat the Filipino boxer.
Sinaloan native Jorge Pazos said he has already studied the past bouts of Servania, whom he faces in Pinoy Pride XV on August 18.
“I will try to go for the KO but if the opportunity does not present itself, I have trained to fight the full 12 rounds,” said Pazos in a statement.
Nicknamed “El Feroz” or “The Ferocious,” Pazos said his courage has helped him withstand his past opponents.
He said his “fighting heart” and ring experience mean trouble for Servania.
“My experience will surely be an advantage and I have the Mexican fighting heart to win against Servania,” said Pazos.
The Mexican also thanked ALA Promotions for giving him a chance to fight in front of Filipino fans.
Pazos and Servanaia will be fighting for the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) Asia Pacific super bantamweight title.
“I am vey much thankful to ALA Promotions Chairman Antonio Aldeguer and President and CEO Michael Aldeguer for giving me this chance of fighting for a title. I want to repay them by not letting this opportunity go to waste,” said Pazos.
