Like father, like son.
A little more than a month after LeBron James announced that he would sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, his son decided on his next team.
Granted, LeBron James Jr. is about to enter eighth grade, but his name and athletic ability already have basketball observers thinking big.
The 13-year-old known as "Bronny" announced Tuesday on Twitter that he will attend Crossroads School in Santa Monica, Calif.
James Jr. posted an image of himself wearing a No. 0 jersey for the school, which is about 14 miles west of where his dad will play at Staples Center.
He will not be eligible to play for the varsity team until next year when he is a freshman.
James Jr. is not the first celebrity child to attend the school. Shaquille O'Neal's oldest son, Shareef, graduated this spring and is headed to UCLA in the fall.
O'Neal's second son, Shaqir, is entering his sophomore year at Crossroads.
The school also claims notable alums such as Jack Black, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jonah Hill, Kate Hudson, Zooey Deschanel and former NBA guard Baron Davis.
Scouts praised James Jr. this summer after he guided his team to a youth basketball championship. Colleges such as Duke and Kentucky reportedly already have shown interest in the young recruit.
