MANILA – The team management of Rain or Shine has changed its mind regarding the status of their prized guard Paul Lee.

Rain or Shine team Governor Mert Mondragon said they would be willing to trade anyone in their team in exchange for a big man who could add ceiling to their roster.

"Kahit si Paul, puwede namin i-trade. Basta't sabi ko nga, ibigay sa amin ang big man na kailangan namin. 'Yun na lang kasi ang kulang sa team namin eh," Mondragon told’s Snow Badua.

Lee, whose contract with Rain or Shine is due to expire by the end of the month, is reportedly being actively pursued by San Miguel Beer.

Mondragon said they are prepared to give up Lee to San Miguel as long as the Beermen can give what the Elasto Painters need.

"Kahit sa San Miguel. Pwede kaming makipag-trade. Tamang-tama, marami silang big man, di ba?" he said.

Mondragon earlier revealed that they have offered Lee a 3-year extension worth P15.12 million in an effort to keep the combo guard. The amount is the maximum allowable offer based on the league rules, he said.

“Maximum ‘yun. P420,000 [a month] tapos three years,” said Mondragon.

Lee’s PBA affairs is currently being handled by his manager as the player is busy training with the Gilas Pilipinas pool in Spain for the coming FIBA World Cup of Basketball.
