MANILA, Philippines -- The Philippine Azkals were drawn together with Southeast Asian neighbors Vietnam and Indonesia for the group stage competitions of the 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup.
The draw, which was held at the Sheraton Hanoi, clustered the Philippines with Vietnam, Indonesia and the runners-up of the qualifying round in Group A.
Meanwhile, defending champions Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the winner of the qualifying round were drawn together in Group B.
The group stage is set to begin on November 22 and will be hosted by Singapore and Vietnam.
In the 2012 edition of the Cup, the Azkals reached the semifinal round only to lose against eventual champions Singapore.
This year, the Azkals will be forced to compete without prized footballer Stephen Schrock, who "resigned" from the squad due to a dispute with coach Thomas Dooley.
