MANILA, Philippines -- Former National University (NU) star Bobby Ray Parks Jr. will not enter the 2014 PBA Rookie Draft.
Parks is in Manila for a couple of weeks after a long three-month stretch in the United States that saw him work out for the Los Angeles Lakers.
He watched the Bulldogs beat the University of the East Red Warriors, 57-55, on Sunday.
Asked if he had any intention of entering the draft, the two-time UAAP Most Valuable Player said: "(I'm) not really interested in the PBA Draft."
When asked later if he was ruling out the PBA draft, Parks said: "Yeah, for now. I'm on vacation and just trying to enjoy."
"I know it's a big issue right now, but if you ask me today, I'm not joining the draft," he added.
Parks spoke well of his experience in the United States, which saw him get called back to the Lakers.
"It was a great experience... I got a lot better," said Parks.
