MANILA -- (UPDATED) Justin Brownlee fired 26 points to steer Barangay Ginebra to an easy 120-99 win over Kia in the PBA Governors' Cup on Wednesday.
Brownlee added 10 rebounds and seven assists for the Gin Kings' second straight win in the league.
Greg Slaughter and Mark Caguioa also had a productive night. "Gregzilla" scored 18 markers, while Caguioa tallied 16 in just 13 minutes of play.
“We kind of displayed all of our weapons tonight... I'm really happy with the focus of our guys, and they stayed on focus throughout 48 minutes,” said Ginebra coach Tim Cone.
The Gin Kings led by as much as 32 points, 96-64, in the fourth quarter, prompting Cone to rest his starters the rest of the way.
Ball movement was good for Ginebra, which tallied 39 assists, translating to 44 field goals.
"We're creating a lot of shots because we have a lot of inside threats," said Cone. "We have people they have to account for and open things up from the perimeter."
It was the second time the Gin Kings recorded a blowout victory this conference.
After a 78-93 setback to Meralco, Ginebra torched GlobalPort, 124-108.
Meanwhile, the Picanto, led by Mark Celda, who had 21 points and four rebounds, fell to their fourth straight defeat.
