MANILA, Philippines – The fight date between Nonito Donaire Jr. and Mexican slugger Jorge “Travieso” Arce has been moved from October 20 to October 13.
According to Philboxing’s Ronnie Nathanielsz, promoter Bob Arum has changed the fight date to give way to the World Boxing Organization (WBO) bantamweight title clash between AJ “Bazooka” Banal and Pungluang Sor Singyu of Thailand on October 20 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Arum is also still on the lookout for a suitable venue to hold the Donaire-Arce fight.
Donaire will be defending the WBO and International Boxing Federation (IBF) super bantamweight titles against Arce.
The two boxers, however, have yet to finalize their deal.
Arum said he will include in the undercard the light welterweight bout between Brandon “Bam Bam” Rios and Mike Alvarado.
