MANILA, Philippines – Filipina golfer Princess Mary Superal won the U.S. Golf Association's Junior Girls World Championship Saturday afternoon in Arizona in a sudden death overtime.
The competition is regarded as one of the top amateur tournaments in the world.
Superal beat Mexico's Marijosse Navarro in the 37-hole final.
Superal had earned her shot in the final after beating Cindy Ha of New Jersey in the semi-finals at the Forest Highlands Golf Club in Flagstaff, Arizona. -- With a report from The Philippine Star
