MANILA, Philippines -- De La Salle University guard Thomas Torres is reportedly out for the rest of the UAAP Season 77 men's basketball tournament after suffering a foot injury during their 97-86 loss to rivals Ateneo on Sunday.
Torres left the Araneta Coliseum in crutches and was taken to a hospital after the game.
Quinito Henson initially said in an Instagram post that Torres had a "suspected fracture" in his right foot that may take four to eight weeks to heal.
Archer Pride later reported that Torres was out for the season due to a fractured ankle.
Torres, who was scoreless is nearly 17 minutes of action, later tweeted: "I'll be back."
With Torres out of the line-up for the foreseeable future, the Green Archers are now down to 13 men and less experienced guards including Kib Montalbo and rookies Julian Sargent and Terrence Mustre will be expected to fill in the void.
