MANILA, Philippines – Malaysia's first female fighter Ann "Athena" Osman will be Ana Julaton's next opponent on August 29 in Dubai.

Julaton, the first Filipina to become a world boxing champion, was supposed to face Russia’s Irina Mazepa, a six-time world champion in wushu and a K-1 world champion in "ONE FC: Reign of Champions."

But a recent announcement by ONE FC showed that Osman will be stepping up for Mazepa.

The bout may turn out to be an interesting challenge for Julaton as Osman likes to mix her striking with her ground skills.

Julaton had a rousing mixed martial arts (MMA) debut when she stopped Aya Saber in three rounds at "ONE FC: Rise of Heroes" last May.

Osman, meanwhile, lost her debut against Singapore’s Sherylin Lim. She was supposed to fight Lim in a rematch but the bout was shelved after the Singaporean failed to make the straw weight limit.
