Pippen, Rodman vow competitive game vs PBA greats

MANILA, Philippines – Hoops fans can expect a unique night of basketball as former Chicago Bulls stars Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman lead a crew of American hardcourt legends in a one-night exhibition game at the SM Mall of Asia Arena today.

Pippen, best remembered for his on-court partnership with Michael Jordan, promised to impress local fans when they take on a roster of PBA greats in the “All-Star Basketball Challenge.”

Pippen will team up with Rodman and former NBA players Mitch Richmond, Cliff Robinson, and Bryon Russell to form the US All-Stars.

They will be coached by 12-time NBA All-Star Oscar “The Big O” Robertson.

Meanwhile, the Philippine All-Star team includes Kenneth Duremdes, Marlou Aquino, Nelson Asaytono, Bong Hawkins, Bal David, EJ Feihl, Noli Locsin, Jerry Codinera, Vince Hizon and Jojo Lastimosa. -- Mornings @ ANC, July 18, 2012.
