MANILA, Philippines – Former world champion Robert Guerrero claimed that the Philippines’ 8-division boxing king Manny Pacquiao would be an easy fight for him.
In an apparent effort to join the Pacquiao sweepstakes, Guerrero claimed he can knock out the Filipino boxer.
"I think about [fighting Pacquiao] all the time. The way Pacquiao comes in is reckless," Guerrero, an American boxer with Mexican descent, told RingTV.
Guerrero, the former International Boxing Federation (IBF) super featherweight champion, has already won 5 belts in 3 weight classes.
He recently secured the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and World Boxing Association (WBA) interim lightweight belts via a unanimous decision win over Michael Katsidis.
Guerrero also bared his strategy in beating Pacquiao.
"I have done the homework on Pacquiao. I would use the long jab and go with a triple and quadruple jab. I would change my whole game plan," said Guerrero.
Pacquiao has yet to announce his choice of opponent for his November 10 fight.
The Filipino boxer recently lost his WBO welterweight crown following a controversial defeat to Timothy Bradley.
