MANILA, Philippines – Arizona Reid just proved his worth as the PBA Governors' Cup Best Import.

With 6.7 seconds to go, the 6'4" import nailed a booming triple to help Rain or Shine tie its PBA Finals series with San Mig Coffee, 1-1, via an 89-87 overtime win in Game 2.

Reid, who was given his second Bobby Parks Best Import award before the game, scored 6 of Rain or Shine's last 9 points against the Coffee Mixers during the extra period.

The Rain or Shine import finished the game with 29 points on 11-of-24 field goal shooting to go along with his 17 rebounds.

The Elasto Painters were playing catch-up midway in the fourth quarter, 69-76, when they went for a decisive run that cut the Coffee Mixers' lead.

Reid capped the blitz with a triple that tied the score at 80-all. The game eventually went into overtime after the defenses of both squads held up until regulation.

San Mig initially zoomed to 24-18 first-quarter lead, prompting the Elasto Painters to fire back with a mini-run that cut the deficit, 22-26. Justin Melton and Ian Sangalang responded with a pair of jumpers to keep the Coffee Mixers ahead, 30-26. Gabe Norwood then scored back-to-back baskets to tie the game 37-all going to the second half.

The game was neck-and-neck in the third canto when Reid picked up the tempo to give Rain or Shine a 62-55 upper hand. James Yap and PJ Simon tried to stop the bleeding for San Mig Coffee, but Beau Belga connected on a looper and Reid scored on a drive for Rain or Shine's 66-59 advantage.

A 6-0 run started by Mark Barroca's 3-point play again tied the scores 66-all and this widened to a 76-69 gap courtesy of Alex Mallari and Yap.
