Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva claims that Josh Barnett’s refusal to get into the Octagon with him proves that the former UFC heavyweight champion is afraid of him.
"He’s giving excuses because he’s scared. That’s the word. He says he won’t fight me because he doesn’t want to give me name and money with this fight, but the truth is he’s scared," Silva said in Yahoo! Sports.
The Brazilian behemoth has been calling out Barnett into a UFC fight with him but got a terse response from the “Baby Faced Assassin.”
"[Expletive] him," was Barnett’s reply.
Silva said he’ll teach Barnett some manners if he gets to the fight the American.
Barnett and Silva have verbally sparred in the past after the former claimed that the Silva has become a “decent fighter” due to his gigantism disease.
"If he wasn’t educated by his mother, I’ll teach him a lesson," said Silva.
The Brazilian fighter added that their rankings in the UFC list prove that he is the more dangerous fighter than Barnett.
"I think he should take a look at the rankings. I’m ranked at No. 4 and he’s No. 5. The last guy that beat him (Travis Browne) got knocked out by me."
