MANILA, Philippines – A respected boxing trainer who works with British heavyweight Tyson Fury believes Manny Pacquiao can gain his revenge against Juan Manuel Marquez if the two legends were to face off for a fifth time.

Peter Fury, in an interview with On the Ropes Boxing Radio, said he favors Pacquiao to win a hypothetical fifth fight against Marquez, who famously knocked out the Filipino champ when they last fought in December 2012.

"I think the Marquez fight, the last time, was a freak punch," Fury said of the vicious short right hand launched by Marquez that hit Pacquiao right on the button and sent him face down to the canvas.

"I see Pacquiao as more of a complete boxer than Marquez, and I just see Pacquiao avenging that terrible loss," added Fury.

Marquez is technically the number one contender for Pacquiao's WBO welterweight title, but the fifth fight is far from a done deal as the Mexican is still thinking about committing to the bout.

"I sincerely hope that fight goes ahead," said Fury, "And he (Pacquiao) corrects that loss, because Pacquiao belongs up there with the best."

"It's gonna be a good fight, but I just see Pacquiao a clear points winner," he added.

Pacquiao and Marquez drew in their first encounter in 2004, and Pacquiao would win two subsequent rematches in controversial fashion.

Marquez got the definitive win he was looking for in their fourth meeting, knocking out Pacquiao with just one second to go before the end of the sixth round.
