MANILA – Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao has labelled Alaska’s Henry Walker a bully after the import figured in a clash with Elasto Painters’ Paul Lee in Game 4 of their PBA Governors’ Cup semifinals on Thursday.
Walker, a former NBA player, planted an elbow to Lee’s nape while fighting through a screen midway the fourth quarter.
The hit sent the Rain or Shine player to the floor.
Walker was later assessed a Flagrant Foul No. 2 for his actions and ejected from the game.
“He’s a menace to the league. He’s a bully,” said Guiao in the PBA website.
The PBA later slapped Walker with a P30,000 fine but allowed the import to participate in Game 5 between Alaska and Rain or Shine on Saturday.
Walker himself complained about Rain or Shine’s rugged game during the early part of their best-of-5 series.
“That’s just blatant dirty plays, but then I do something and I’m gonna get a tech (technical foul) or something, I mean, that’s the second game in a row I get punched,” Walker said in a previous interview with Spin.ph’s Richard Dy.
