MANILA – Alaska import Henry Walker was meted a P30,000 fined by the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) for throwing an elbow at Rain or Shine’s Paul Lee during Game 4 of their Governors’ Cup semifinal match on Thursday.

“The Office of the Commissioner has imposed a P30,000 fine on Alaska import Henry Walker for his Flagrant Foul Penalty 2 infraction during Game 4 of the Alaska – Rain or Shine PLDT Home Telpad PBA Governors’ Cup semifinal series Thursday,” the league said in an announcement.

PBA Commissioner Chito Salud summoned Walker to his office on Friday afternoon to allow the import to give his side of the story.

Despite being hit with a hefty fine, Walker escaped suspension and will be allowed to play in Game 5 of Alaska’s semis showdown with Rain or Shine.

The 6’4” import hit Lee with an elbow to the nape while they were contesting for the ball 6:24 in the fourth quarter.

Officials immediately assessed him with Flagrant Foul No. 2 and had him ejected from the game.

Rain or Shine eventually won the contest in overtime, 123-121. The series is now tied 2-all, and will be settled in Game 5 on Saturday.
