MANILA, Philippines – San Mig Coffee’s James Yap has no choice but to move on from their Game 4 loss to Talk ‘N Text, which forced the Coffee Mixers to a sudden death Game 5 via an 84-81 beating on Wednesday.

The two-time Most Valuable Player came up with some of the biggest plays in that game, scoring 23 points, including the floater that tied the scores 74-all and sent the game into overtime.

But all his efforts went to naught after the Tropang Texters outlasted them during the added minutes to stretch the semifinal series to five games.

“Di ko na iisipin 'yun (loss). Ang mahalaga may chance pa kami,” Yap said in Richard Dy’s report to Spin.ph.

Now that the series is tied 2-all, the Tropang Texters have the chance to foil the Coffee Mixers’ grand slam hopes on Friday.

Yap said the urgency calls for a quick rebound on San Mig Coffee’s part.

“Iyun lang naman eh, 'di na puwede maging malungkot dahil ganito naman talaga 'pag series. Basta, kailangan bounce back agad and move on,” said Yap.

“Siyempre, masakit, pero sabi ni coach, wala nang time na magsisihan at malungkot. Eh my chance pa naman, bounce back na lang, tingnan natin sa Friday.”
