MANILA, Philippines -- The 2017 PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals is about to get more heated.
After splitting the first two games, San Miguel and TNT will dispute a 2-1 lead as the best-of-7 series moves to Game 3 Sunday at the Big Dome.
Picking up a dramatic series-opening victory, the KaTropa issued a 17-0 run to start Game 2, only to see the Beermen dominate the rest of the way as San Miguel picked up a 14-point win to tie the series.
Despite an anti-climactic finish two days ago, emotions should still run high for Game 3 after an incident involving Arwind Santos and RR Pogoy marred the Beermen's dominant performance.
In the third quarter of Game 2, Pogoy appeared to give Santos a low blow, causing his ejection. The TNT rookie was later fined P30,000 by the league and Santos issued perhaps the best post-game interview this season.
With series control hanging in the balance, Game 3 will tip off at 6:30 p.m. Sunday live at the Araneta Coliseum.
