MANILA, Philippines – As one of the most popular members of the Philippine Azkals, James Younghusband still cannot believe that more Filipinos appreciate football now more than ever.
In an interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, Younghusband said he started playing football back when he was 4 years old.
"My dad, he brought us to a local football club, we (he and his brother Phil) played there every weekend," he said.
Younghusband revealed that he decided to join the Azkals because it is his pride to represent his mother’s homeland in international competitions.
The Azkals midfielder revealed that his mom is from Malabon City while his dad is from England.
In the interview, Younghusband revealed that he also has a creative side.
"[Without football] I think I’d probably be a graphics designer," the 24-year-old midfielder said.

Traffic. I hate traffic!
