Unbeaten American boxer Shawn Porter has now made a name for himself after gaining popularity as a sparring partner for Filipino ring icon Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao.

The 26-year-old American with a 24-0-1 (win-loss-draw) record is now the IBF welterweight champion, and recently expressed his readiness to fight not only Pacquiao but pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr.

"It's cool to be mentioned as his sparring partner," Porter told Fight Hype of Pacquiao, whom he sparred with in 2009 when the "Pacman" was preparing for his fight against Miguel Cotto.

"But it would also be cool to be mentioned as possibly fighting the guy," Porter added. "(It's) another great opportunity to fight against one of the greatest fighters of our era."

Porter said a fight against Pacquiao, the WBO welterweight champion, is something he "welcomes generously."

"If it happens, I'll be ready for that," he vowed.

Porter also said he is ready for a showdown against Mayweather, despite the doubts of some boxing fans.

"I get in there with Mayweather, it's gonna be an exciting fight," he guaranteed.

"As you can see, they didn't think I was ready for Devon (Alexander), and I handled him. They weren't sure if I was ready for Paulie (Malignaggi) and I handled him,"” he pointed out.

"Whoever they put in front of me, I’ll get in there and do what I have to do."
