MANILA – The Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters stayed alive in the PBA Governors Cup semifinals series after beating the San Mig Coffee Mixers, 112-86, in Game 3 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Monday.
Ranidel de Ocampo led Talk N Text with 24 points while Jayson Castro chipped in 14 markers.
Paul Harris, meanwhile, recorded a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds that went with his 7 assists.
The Tropang Texters avoided a sweep will try to force a do-or-die game when they battle San Mig again on Wednesday.
TNT Coach Norman Black told the PBA website that letting everybody play after sticking to a 10-man rotation in the previous games was effective.
''I'm very pleased with the players I called cause they responded well. They were able to get us a victory today,'' he said ''It was a decision just to let everybody play and see who’s going to play well and keep them on the floor.''
Meanwhile, Peter June Simon led the offense for San Mig with 18 points, while Joe Devance added 11 markers and 7 rebounds.
''The one thing we had going for us is that we played as a team offensively,'' Black said. ''The ball was really moving from hand-to-hand. Nobody was really holding it.''
''It’s one of the things we’ve been preaching the entire year, particularly in this series,'' he added.
