MANILA – Filipino fighter Eric Kelly has been lined up to fight Australia’s “Ruthless” Rob Lisita next month in an eliminator that will set up the winner for a shot at the ONE FC featherweight title.

Kelly will be meeting the hard-hitting Australian at ONE FC’s: War of Dragons in Taipei on July 11.

The Baguio City-born Kelly is considered one of the best featherweights fighting under ONE FC with a 10-1 win-loss card.

His lone defeat was against compatriot Honorio Banario, who became the first Filipino ever to win a world mixed martial arts (MMA) title.

Lisita, on the other hand, is coming off a knockout victory over Yusuke Kawanago last May.

The Australian is known to be a fan of Pacquiao and has won majority of his 14 career victories by stoppages.

Whoever wins the match will get the chance to challenge ONE FC featherweight champion Koji Oishi.

“War of Dragons” will also feature the heavyweight bout between Taiwan’s Paul Cheng and Egypt’s Mahmoud Hassan.

Cheng is a former Canadian Football League star who already has four wins on his professional MMA record.

In his ONE FC debut last December, he forced his opponent to tap out in the first round.

Hassan, meanwhile, is a heavyweight boxer with knockout power in both hands.
