Mark Barroca and Marc Pingris then took care of business in the extra period, enabling the Coffee Mixers to draw first blood in the best-of-5 duel.
Marqus Blakely paced San Mig Coffee with 20 points to go with his 10 rebounds and 4 assists.
James Yap, who failed to finish the game, led the locals with 13 points while Barroca tallied 11 markers. Maliksi and Pingris had 10 points each.
