Jon “Bones” Jones thumbed down proposals of having his rematch against Alexander Gustafsson in Sweden.
As the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion, he found it inappropriate having to defend his title in Gustafsson’s hometown.
"It won't be Sweden. No chance," Jones said in MMA Fighting.
"I have no reason to. I'm the champ and he's the challenger. I don't find it appropriate for me to go to his back yard," he added.
Sweden is one of the three locations being considered for their rematch in September. The other cities being conserved are Toronto, Canada and Las Vegas, Nevada.
The first bout, which took place nearly a year ago, was held at Toronto's Air Canada Centre.
Jones said he doesn’t mind fighting Gustafsson in either Toronto or Las Vegas.
"Either one of those locations is fine with me," Jones said.
