Reid sinks winning basket as RoS escapes San Mig

MANILA - Arizona Reid buried the game-winning basket to lift the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters over the San Mig Coffee Mixers, 95-94, in the PBA Governors' Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Monday.

Reid erupted early with 22 of his 39 points in the first quarter and hit the game's biggest shot from deep with 1.1 seconds left, according to the PBA website.

James Yap tried to save the game for his team but he couldn't get a decent shot as time expired.

With the win, the Elasto Painters clinched the second seed at 6-3 and will face Air21 in the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, San Mig Coffee landed in fourth place at 5-4 and will face the San Miguel Beermen in the quarterfinals of the conference.
