MANILA, Philippines – Moneywise, Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley would be better off looking for new foes to fight, according to boxing trainer Naazim Richardson.

Although Richardson doesn’t oppose a rematch between the two boxers, he said it will be more financially beneficial for Pacquiao and Bradley if they face new opponents.

“From a business standpoint, if you have both of these guys you don’t need a rematch. Because Pacquiao is going to be Pacquiao and you can still sell him. Pacquiao could fight me tomorrow and you could sell it,” Richardson said in Boxing Scene.

He added that Bradley has turned into a marketable fighter no matter how controversial his victory over Pacquiao was.

“You can move him in another direction and sell him too,” said Richardson.

“From a business standpoint it doesn’t make sense to put them back together.”

Richardson is the boxing coach of Shane Mosley.
