MANILA, Philippines – The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters have won four straight games in the PBA Governors Cup after starting the conference with back-to-back losses, and head coach Yeng Guiao can only hope that their charge is not too late.

"We're trying to make the top four," said Guiao in a report after the E-Painters beat Meralco, 104-85, Tuesday night to secure a place in the quarter-finals. "We need to win one more game."

"We started out slow, but we're trying to make up for the slow start that we had," he added. "We hope we don’t lose steam. We have one more game left, and that’s going to be really crucial for us if we want to make that twice-to-beat advantage."

Guiao also credited their recent charge to the team getting solid contributions from all players.

"We're still playing good defense, but the reason why we're winning is that everybody's making a contribution to the team, even the guys coming from the bench and the rookies," he said.

The team is also healthy, Guiao said, aside from JR Quiñahan.

Rain or Shine will play their last game of the elimination round on Monday against San Mig Super Coffee.

They currently have hold of solo fourth, although that can change Wednesday if the Air21 Express and the San Miguel Beermen win their games.
