'Cyborg' to go down in weight vs Rousey: report
Former Strikeforce Women’s featherweight champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino has reportedly agreed to go down to 135 pounds to challenge UFC Women’s bantamweight champion Rodna Rousey.
Justino and Rousey have been trading barbs in the past but could not agree into setting a fight due to their discrepancy in weight.
But according to InvictaFC owner Shannon Knapp, Cyborg has decided to drop from 145 pounds to 135 to meet Rousey at bantamweight.
"I haven't had that opportunity to talk to her, but definitely she has expressed that she wants to go down to 135 and she wants a shot at making her way over there to compete against Ronda," Knapp said in Elias Cepeda’s report to Yahoo! Cagewriter.
Justino has been fighting in InvictaFC after the UFC absorbed Strikeforce in 2013.
