MANILA – Football siblings Phil and James Younghusband will play against each other in the third edition of the Clear “Dream Match” on Saturday night at the University of Makati.

The Younghusbands are tied in this series 1-all.

Team Phil won the first edition in 2012, while Team James evened the score in the following Dream Match in 2013.

This year’s Dream Match will be more exciting to watch as superstar legends Andy Cole and Paul Scholes of Manchester United will join the brothers on the field.

Scholes will be with Team Phil, while Cole is scheduled to play alongside Team James.

"We are fortunate to get the two of them... it's gonna be one great game and it's gonna be exciting to watch," said Clear's Andrew Copuyoc.

"We love to play the game and we didn't hesitate when we got the invitation," said Scholes.

"My thoughts [about the Philippines] are boxing and Manny Pacquiao. To be given the opportunity to come to the Philippines... is really, really nice," said Cole.

The competing teams conducted practices on Friday afternoon to familiarize their strategies for Saturday’s game.

Both teams looked serious in practice as they were joined by the Manchester football stars.

Amateur players selected to join Team Phil and Team James felt that it was a dream come true to be chosen to participate in the Dream Match. They underwent training under football coaches Jamie Fitzpatrick and Kevin O’Connel to make sure they are well prepared for the game.
Team Phil and Team James also visited Tuloy Foundation in Alabang to play football with kids and encourage the young ones to take up football. – From a report by Dyan Castillejo, ABS-CBN News
