The 2017 PBA Commissioner's Cup playoffs gets right into action with TNT and Meralco kicking things off with their best-of-3 showdown Monday at the Big Dome.

The 4-5 matchup between the sister teams is scheduled at 4:15 p.m.

Despite being the lower seed and struggling into the playoffs with a three-game slide, the Bolts have plenty of reasons to be optimistic against the no. 4 KaTropa as they haven't lost to TNT since late last year.

Meralco currently has a five-game winning streak against the flagship MVP franchise dating back to the semifinals of the 2016 Governors' Cup.

The KaTropa won Game 1 of the series before the Bolts won three straight to advance to the Finals.

The Bolts took their other two games against TNT so far in this current season.

In the second game at 7:00 p.m., defending champion and no. 6 seed Rain or Shine takes on the red-hot Star Hotshots in the other best-of-3 quarterfinals series.

Both squads will play each other in a playoff series for the first time since doing a blockbuster trade that sent James Yap to ROS in exchange for Paul Lee.
