MANILA – The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters notched their first win of the PBA Governors Cup by beating the GlobalPort Batang Pier, 119-97, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday.

Import Arizona Reid led the way with 30 points for Rain or Shine, while four locals scored in double-digits as the Elasto Painters finally barged into the win column after a 0-2 start to the conference.

The Batang Pier were seeking a second consecutive victory after upsetting the Alaska Aces last Friday, but the Elasto Painters halted their momentum.

Terrence Romeo led GlobalPort with 22 points, while Alex Cabagnot fired 21 points.

GlobalPort's record drops to 1-2, tied with Rain or Shine and Barako Bull.
