MANILA, Philippines – Timothy Braldey is confident that he has all the ingredients to come up with a big “W” when he fights Manny Pacquiao on June 9.
“I have the speed, I have the power, I have the youth. I have all the tools to beat Manny Pacquiao,” the 28-year-old American boxer said in ESPN’s Down for the Count.
But he said the most important tool that he’ll need against Pacquiao is his persistence.
Bradley has been training day and night to make sure that he’ll give the fighting congressman a tough challenge.
“I think my determination is definitely a factor in this fight, I just have to put it all together on June 9,” he said. “We put in work, no days off. We work hard everytime we train, if I need to be at the gym, I'm at the gym.”
Bradley added that he has no problems fighting a southpaw like Pacquiao.
He said he has already fought left-handed boxers twice and came out victorious in both occasions.
“[Devon] Alexander's a fast southpaw, the clever Joel Casamayor [is also a southpaw], now I'm fighting the best southpaw in the world, Manny Pacquiao. No problem whatsoever,” said Bradley.
“I’m confident that I should be victorious on that night.”
