MANILA, Philippines – Jason “El Nino” Pagara brushed aside Aaron Herrera’s impression of him, claiming that the Mexican will go down at the main event of Pinoy Pride XX.
In a Philboxing report by Rene Bonsubre, Pagara said his Mexican foe will kiss the canvass this Saturday at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
“I will not promise anything but you will see a knockout,” was Pagara’s response to Herrera’s tirade.
The Mexican was earlier quoted as saying that he wasn’t impressed with Pagara’s fighting style.
“I’ve seen videos of Pagara, and there is nothing to be excited about it. I know how to handle Pagara,” Herrera said, as quoted by Edri K. Aznar in a Sun Star report.
Also to be featured on Saturday’s Pinoy Pride XX, is Jimrex “Executioner” Jaca’s title fight against Mexico’s Jose Emilio Perea. The two will slug it out for the WBO Oriental junior welterweight crown.
Unbeaten Genesis “Azukal” Servania will battle face Isaac Junior of Indonesia in a 10-round non-title fight. Servania must beat Junior to secure his much-awaited bout in Macau this July.
Pinoy Pride XX will be aired on ABS-CBN Channel 2 on Sunday starting 10:15 a.m.
