LOS ANGELES, California – Week three of Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao’s United States training camp will be the most intense yet, as the eight-division world champion ramps up his preparations for his June 9 fight against unbeaten Timothy Bradley.

“This week, eto ang heavy training na ginagawa natin, and s’yempre ready naman tayo,” Pacquiao said.

According to trainer Freddie Roach, Pacquiao’s training is “right on schedule.”

“We got good work in Baguio, a good start that he’s carried over and his focus is great,” Roach said. “He’s doing good right now, I’m happy where he’s at.”

“We’ll do 33 rounds (of sparring) this week, and that’ll be our peak. We’ll start tapering off this week,” he added.

Pacquiao is currently training at Freddie Roach’s Wild Card Gym in Hollywood.

“May dalawang linggo pa, sabi ko na ready naman ako, ready na ako in Jesus’ name,” Pacquiao said.

Even as he enters the most intense week of his training camp, the Filipino boxer continued calling on his kababayans to support Filipino-Mexican-American singer Jessica Sanchez in her quest to become American Idol.

“Lahat ng mga Pilipino, we ask you to support Jessica Sanchez, suportahan ang kababayan natin. Karangalan nating mga Pilipino ‘yan,” Pacquiao said. “Magka-isa tayo para ipakita natin ang unity natin as Filipinos, at para magkaroon tayo ng first Fil-Am na nanalo sa American Idol.”
