MANILA, Philippines – Filipino fighter Mark Eddiva is eyeing to make it two in a row in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) as he goes up against Brazilian knockout artist Kevin Souza on May 31.
The Southeast Asian gold medalist remains unbeaten in six professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fights and plans to extend his win streak when he goes toe-to-toe against Souza on the undercard of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) Brazil Finale.
Eddiva is coming off a rousing debut in UFC Fight Night last March, wherein he outclassed China’s Jumabieke Tuerxun for a unanimous verdict.
The Team Lakay fighter, however, will have his hands full against Souza who boasts a record of 14-3. Twelve of his victories came by way of stoppages.
In his last fight, Souza carved out a split decision win against Felipe Arantes in UFC Fight Night last September.
The TUF Brazil Finale will feature the bout between Stipe Miocic and Fabio Maldonado in the main event.
