Batista to team up with GSP in 'Kickboxer' remake

Batista as Drax the Destroyer in Marvel Studio's "Guardians of the Galaxy"

Professional wrestler Batista and former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre were tapped to join the cast for the remake of 1989 cult classic “Kickboxer.”

According to MMA Weekly, the Filipino-Greek wrestler, whose real name is Dave Bautista, will be taking on a supporting role, together with St-Pierre. (LINK ON MMA WEEKLY )

The lead role, originally portrayed by Jean Claude Van Damme, will be played by stuntman and martial artist Alain Moussi.

The "Kickboxer" reboot will be directed by Stephen Fung.

Batista, who recently returned to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), has already appeared in several films including "The Man with the Iron Fist" and "Wrong Side of Town." He's also set to play Drax the Destroyer in Marvel Studio's "Guardians of the Galaxy."

St-Pierre, for his part, has portrayed Batroc the Leaper in the film "Captain America: The Winter Soldier."
