Ildefonso, Alaska import figure in fistfight, too

MANILA – San Miguel Beer’s Junmar Fajardo and GlobalPort’s Jondan Salvador figured in a fist fight during their team’s tune-up match on Tuesday.

Arwind Santos also got involved in the on-court clash after reportedly hitting Salvador while the latter was confronting Fajardo at the Meralco Gym in Quezon City.

In an interview with’s Snow Badua, Salvador claimed he merely defended himself when he saw Fajardo coming straight at him..

“Palusob na siya sa akin eh, nanlilisik ang mata niya. Kaya inunahan ko lang,” said the GlobalPort power forward. “Alam ko naman na bibirahin niya ako eh. Kasi naka clenched fist na siya, ano pa nga ba ang gagawin niya sa akin.”

Salvador also accused Santos of hitting him while he was preoccupied with the San Miguel Beer center.

“Nagkakagulo na 'nun, tapos bigla akong binira sa blind side ni Arwind. Kaya lalong nagkagulo,” he said.

Hours before the scuffle, Meralco’s Danny Ildefonso clashed with Alaska reinforcement Bill Walker during the other tune-up game.

The teams are holding scrimmages in preparation for the season ending PBA Governors’ Cup.
