Phoenix Suns forward Michael Beasley is being investigated by Scottsdale (Ariz.) police for alleged involvement in a sexual assault, the Arizona Republic reports.

According to reports, the incident being investigated occurred Jan. 13, 2013.

Beasley, 24, has had multiple off-court incidents during his career. Those include a series of driving offenses earlier in the year.

UNLV freshman forward Anthony Bennett, considered a likely lottery pick in the NBA draft in June, will likely be sidelined for several months after having shoulder surgery.

Bennett projects as a power forward in the NBA. The operation to repair a torn rotator cuff in his left shoulder is expected to sideline him at least three months, meaning all pre-draft workouts and rookie summer league is out of the question.

Bennett (6-8, 233) averaged 16.1 points and 8.1 rebounds to earn Mountain West Conference freshman of the year honors.
