Donaire moves training camp to Manila
MANILA, Philippines – Filipino boxer Nonito Donaire has moved his training camp from Cebu to Manila for the next stage of his preparation for this world title fight against Simpiwe Vetyeka on May 31 in Macau.
Donaire had a meet and greet today in Makati, where he expressed his hunger to score an impressive win against the South African world champion.
“The Filipino Flash” said training in Cebu with his father, Nonito Sr., went very well as they worked on their strategy while also improving his power and speed.
Donaire is now just nine pounds off the 126-pound featherweight limit after being at 140 pounds two weeks ago.
He plans to continue the sparring and training regimen that he has put in place in training. -- Report from Dyan Castillejo, ABS-CBN News.
