MANILA, Philippines – Minnesota Timberwolves Ronny Turiaf is happy to have worked as a corner man for his friend, Filipino-American boxer-fighter Ana Julaton, who scored a rousing victory in her mixed martial debut (MMA) on Friday.

Julaton squeezed herself out from Aya Saber’s guillotine choke attempt and battered the Egyptian with ruthless ground and pound en route to a third round stoppage in ONE FC: Rise of Heroes.

"What a Night...! What thriller...! Wow... Priceless Memories... You are a True Champion @anajulaton... Glad to have you as my friend and inspiration...!" the NBA player said in his Instagram post.

Julaton, who now has a 1-0 record in MMA, is appreciative of her friend’s support.

"This guy's all heart... one thing that Ronny brings in is a lot of perspective, I really appreciate that," said the two-time world boxing champion.

"He's a champion as well. He won the NBA championship with [Erik] Spoelstra so it's nice to have a champion with me," Julaton said, referring to Turiaf’s stint with the Miami Heat.
