MANILA, Philippines – Jinkee Pacquiao believes her husband has become the Manny Pacquiao of the past.

By that, she meant that her better half became the older version of Pacquiao who made a huge splash in the international arena with his domination of Oscar de la Hoya.

“Manny now, in fact, is the Manny of old during the times he was lording it over tough opponents in the likes of legendary Oscar De La Hoya, Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, to mention a few,” Jinkee told Philboxing’s Eddie Alinea.

Jinkee said Pacquiao has already given up partying and gambling.

Even rumors of illicit affairs have vanished, she said.

“No more night outings after training. Nor attending this and party in the middle of preparations,” said Jinkee.

“Wala na rin 'yung tismis na nakikipag-date siya sa kung kani-kaninong babae. Na nagka-anak siya sa kung kani-kaninong babae.”

“Manny has really changed, I tell you.”

Jinkee attributed the change to Pacquiao’s Bible reading and preaching.

She added that members of his husband’s team, whom they consider as bad influences, will soon be dropped from the group.

Jinkee only hopes that distractions like tax and smuggling issues would stop hounding Pacquiao.

“I am very thankful nga na the distractions that came his way lately like the income tax thing, criminal charges allegedly filed against him medyo nawala na sa eksena,” she said.

“Actually, ang masyadong naapektuhan ang pamilya. Me and our children. Kaming hindi naniniwala nandadaya siya sa pagbabayad ng buwis. Kaming hindi naniniwala na smuggler siya ng ng used clothing under the guise of relief goods,” Jinkee added.
